What is a hair schedule?
Girlfriend, we know it sounds super complex, but the hair schedule is nothing more or less than a calendar that structures and organizes your hair care routine around hydration, nourishment and reconstruction, to restore your mane and give it that healthy and glowy look we love so much.
This trendy routine that has become super famous thanks to the curly method basically consists of alternating different hair masks depending on the needs of the hair, to restore the good quality of the hair fiber that has been weakened and damaged by the use of chemical treatments, heat tools, and sun exposure (among others), and give it back that shine, elasticity, and softness that we deserve.
It consists of 3 fundamental steps, and which are the basis of any hair chronogram:
💧 Moisturizing:
Hair naturally contains water, and maintaining this hydration is fundamental to having great hair. At this stage what we are looking for is to restore the moisture level of the hair fiber, and for that we have to use moisturizing ingredients that attract and retain water:
👩🔬 Glycerin, Aloe vera, Panthenol, Sodium PCA, Acerola extract, Grape extract, Argan oil, Sorbitol.
📝 This step is ideal for curly and/or very dry hair.
🌸 Nourishing:
Baby, nourishing is to provide lipids to the hair fiber, and recover the nutrients that our hair has been losing as it has been damaged, thus also helping to keep the cuticle sealed, to create a hydrophobic surface on the hair to combat frizz, and to keep our mane soft, silky and shiny. For this, it is a MUST to use super nourishing ingredients:
👩🔬 coconut oil, avocado oil, mango oil, oat extract, fatty alcohols, macadamia oil, ginseng extract, bamboo extract, jojoba oil, camellia oil, ceramides, argan oil, shea butter and cocoa butter.
📝 TOP for very dry, damaged and very porous hair.
❤️🩹 Reconstruction:
When we talk about reconstruction, we always refer to providing the hair with proteins and amino acids from the innermost part of the hair fiber to replace the most damaged or fragile areas where there has been a structural loss. Positively charged hydrolyzed proteins are usually used to rebuild the most damaged areas of the cortex:
Hydrolyzed proteins of keratin, soy, wheat, silk, corn, quinoa, rice, collagen, oats, pea and yeast.
It would also be super interesting to use masks with amino acids that help to reconstuct the proteins of our hair, giving it back its elasticity and resistance:
👩🔬 Arginine, Alanine, Glycine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Phenylalanine, Serine, Valine, Proline, Threonine, Aspartic Acid, Lysine, Glutamine. And peptides (composed of amino acids) such as SH-Polypeptide-9.
📝A must if your hair is damaged, chemically treated, bleached, or damaged by heat tools.
🗓️
What are the benefits of including hair scheduling in your hair routine?
The "hair scheduling" is a very cool trend since it is based on interspersing hair masks according to the needs of your hair (virgin or damaged), getting the best of each one, and focusing on recovering all the properties that your hair has been losing, giving it back the vitality, shine and softness you need (and deserve). ✨
