10 New Year's resolutions

The year is beginning, and with it comes the renewal of good intentions. Did you know that 80% of the population never gets to fulfill their resolutions? That's because we insist on proposing unattainable things, instead of thinking about all those simple actions that we can accomplish and that will mark a before and after in our lives.

2022 is going to be the best year to fulfill our beauty resolutions. But we want to be realistic and honest, that's why we are going to share with you our achievable resolutions that will make our hair look much better this new year. It's no big deal, they are easy actions that we can all do and they will bring our hair and body back to optimal health. Let's go 2022!

1. Take care of your diet

It may sound cliché, but the biggest secret to looking great is to take care of yourself from the inside out. What we eat directly influences our health, our physical well-being and the appearance of our hair. And yes, a varied and balanced diet can completely transform your mane.

2. Eliminate sulfates from our hair routine

Are sulfates toxic? The answer is NO. Sulfates are neither toxic nor dangerous, and we have all used them at some point. The problem is that their cleansing action is very strong and leaves the scalp dry, eliminating its natural oils. To take care of our hair it is better to opt for products that offer a less aggressive cleaning, that's why our entire range of shampoos is sulfate-free.

3. Reduce silicones

Silicones are not toxic either, but they give us a make-up effect. Our hair looks healthier and shinier even when it's not in optimal health. Try to avoid them and opt for products that really care for the health of your hair without the make up effect. You can choose to limit their use and only use them in products that really need them. Finishing products, which aim to give the hair more shine, often need silicones, so it is best to try to go for silicones that can be easily removed, without leaving a build-up in our hair.

4. Listen to our hair and establish a routine

5. Give heat tools a break and use heat protection

We know, waves make us crazy and we all love straight hair, but so many heat tools end up making our hair look dull, dry and weak. Try to avoid them or set a monthly maximum, this way we will give our hair a break and we will gradually recover an optimal state of health.

6. Get more sleep

When we have not slept enough or have not slept well we wake up exhausted, irritated, stressed, ... It is very important to take care of our rest, it makes a difference. Some tips to sleep better are:

☕️ Avoid caffeine in the afternoon or evening.

🍕 Avoid heavy foods and drinks at dinner.

💤 Limit naps during the day.

7. Twice-weekly face mask

Believe it or not, this is one of the easiest resolutions to keep. Twice a week, apply your favorite mask and relax. You can take the opportunity to read a good book, watch a movie or cook a delicious dish. While you disconnect from an exhausting day, your mask will give your hair an extra dose of softness, shine, hydration and nourishment, your mane will thank you!

8. Exercise

It's not about setting out to run a marathon, or is it! It all depends on our goals. 10 minutes of meditation a day, 30 minutes of yoga, an hour of running or a bit of gym is enough. Try to make time in your routine to do some exercise, be realistic and try to stick to it. The hardest thing is to maintain the routine, so try to motivate yourself as much as possible to prolong it over time. You can do anything!

9. Eliminate the knots and pulls in our lives.
