It is a reality that combs accumulate dirt and grease, and if we don't wash them and brush with them we will grease and dirty our hair. Let's explain it a little better.
Imagine that we have just washed our hair, it is clean and free of grease. We remove excess moisture with the towel, apply a little South Bondi from means to ends and proceed to untangle our hair with the brush that we have already used a million times. Stop and think for a moment what we just did.
Exactly, we have just used a brush that contains product residues, old hairs, small particles of dandruff, dead skin, residues from everyday life, ... And we have put all that together and mixed it in our freshly washed hair. It is possible that right now our hair is not as clean as we expected, and the worst thing is that we may not be aware of all these debris that we have deposited in our hair.
Now that you know the importance of washing your brushes frequently we will tell you exactly how to do it.
How to clean brushes properly?
Remove accumulated hair
Place a comb at the bottom of the brush bristles, and lift it up to remove the hairs. Repeat the action until all the debris is removed.
Remove the dirt
Now that we can see the base of the bristles properly, it is time to prepare a container with warm water and add three drops of shampoo. Then shake to create a lather and immerse the brush for 5 minutes to remove the accumulated dirt.
Rinse properly
After removing the dirt it is time to rinse the brush with warm water and observe how our brush is. If necessary, we can repeat step 2.
Dry the brush
Finally, it is very important to remove excess water. To do this we will use a clean towel. We place the brush upside down and let it air dry for the necessary time. If we see that there is a lot of humidity, we can use the hair dryer to remove it a little.
TIP
To avoid the accumulation of residues it is very important to do this cleaning once a month, and to remove the accumulated hair weekly.
