FAQS — The most common questions about oily hair
Which shampoo is good for oily hair?
When we talk about oily hair, the priority is clear: deep cleansing without being harsh. This type of hair is usually more fragile, loses volume easily, and tends to become saturated quickly if we use unsuitable products. The solution? The combination of Manila Shampoo and Melrose Shampoo. A lightweight formula with ingredients that purify the scalp and regulate sebum production without drying or weighing the hair down.
How should oily hair be washed?
It’s not only about what you use, but how you use it. Proper washing makes all the difference when it comes to fine hair with an oily tendency. We recommend following these steps:
- Apply the shampoo only to the scalp. That’s where sebum builds up and where the product needs to work. Avoid spreading it through the ends unless necessary.
- Massage with gentle circular movements. This stimulates circulation and helps the active ingredients penetrate better, without encouraging more oil production.
- Rinse with lukewarm water, never hot. Very hot water can disrupt sebum production.
- Repeat the wash only if there is a lot of buildup. Sometimes one application is enough.
- Avoid conditioner at the roots. Apply it only from mid-lengths to ends to prevent weighing the hair down or increasing the greasy feeling.
